![]() Today was the best day ever! We had so much fun on the Easter egg hunt with about 20 students, future students, parents, siblings, and volunteers participating! Thanks to the Walmart in Manor, we had 420 eggs to find! We still need to find about 80 of them. That Easter bunny did a great job hiding all of those eggs! He even hid some carrots, so the horses will have some fun tonight on there Easter hunt! Shawn and Sarah showed off how amazing Avalon and Cool Man are and how far they have come. Avalon is becoming a little (make that a big) cross country jumper! Shawn, Sarah, Danann, Luis, and I then went on a trail ride to scope out the trails that Kristie and AJ have been creating for the trail-a-thon. What a beautiful day to share with amazing friends! I am blessed! by Patty
We had a great day at Special Olympics. After arriving in Bryan, TX at the Brazos County Expo Center, Ashley and I schooled Rocky and Romney and then clipped and bathed them. Sharon and Bill came just in time for Sharon to learn how to braid horses mane. So being the generous soul that I am, I showed her and let her have at it! For those of you who have never braided a horses mane, it's hard. Your shoulders and fingers ache after hours of braiding and trying to move with your horse! I'm not sure that Sharon is really thrilled about her new position in the life of horse shows! ![]() by Patty Saturday started off with horse show preparation. Rocky got his bath, but boy was it cold in the morning. He was not thrilled with this event for sure! The horse trailer was borrowed from Taylor Doll (thanks Taylor!) and loaded with our new western saddle and matching bridle a long with grooming supplies and some chopped hay for the old man. |
