Meet the Board
S. Wilde Parry
Wilde is a passionate photographer and owner of Sara Wilde Studios where she specializes in photographing children with special needs. Additionally, Wilde is an inclusion teacher at Austin Discovery School, a volunteer for CASA Travis County, and also keeps her life full raising three sons.
Wilde's love of horses has been lifelong. Her youth was full of horse-related activities...horse camp during summers, working with her own horse, and volunteering at a therapeutic riding academy very similar to HHR. Though there has been a long break from horses in her life, she has found herself very much at home again around the HHR herd. She enjoys helping lead the organization, managing the website, working with the students, and taking LOTS of pictures!
Board Vice President
Jamie Southard joined the board in March or 2015. She started out as a volunteer and realized how much Patty could benefit from her Project Management skills. Jamie has been a Project Manager at Dell for the past 15 years. Though she loves the horses at Healing with Horses Ranch, she is really "the crazy dog lady" at home, which makes Kitty very happy!
Jenny and her son Noah started volunteering at the ranch in 2015. They are both active volunteers supporting ranch maintenance, classes, and fund-raising activities.
Jenny enjoys volunteering at the ranch. She feels she gets back so much from the physical benefits of working outside with the horses and the amazing friendships with other volunteers.
Jenny graduated from St. Edward's University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and has worked at Dell for more than 16 years. She is a native Texan born in Longview where her parents still reside.
Jim joined Healing with Horses in June 2016 after seeking out involvement in his new Austin community. Jim has spent the last 3 years working and traveling for the pharmaceutical industry as a financial analyst domestically and internationally. After finding a more permanent home in Austin he wanted to find a cause he could give back to. Healing with Horses ranch afforded him the opportunity to use his financial acumen to aid an organization he believes in. He has always taken time to volunteer in his communities of Milwaukee, Chicago, and New Orleans.
