by Patty My head is spinning, and not just because I have a cold! So much is happening and it is happening so fast! This is exciting and exhausting all in one! Sunday was the Gold Stirrup Horse Show! Our students, their families, our volunteers, and our horses are absolutely the best. The day started with Libby's mom telling Judy to make sure that I breathed that day (which I did because of her)! Volunteers would not let me go through out the day without eating! Horses said no and others said I can do the job and did the job of 5! We brought home 18 ribbons and 4 buckles (that's 1st place for those that may not understand the significance!)! I am beyond proud! Monday I rested a bit. Vanessa cleaned out the almost empty tack trailer and unloaded and put away everything from the horse trailer. Remnants of the horse show hangover! Then it was time to start advertising and shopping for the Veteran's Program Inauguration!
Tuesday we have a Fund Raising Committee Meeting to continue planning for the ACTHA Trail-a-thon scheduled for May 25th. Lessons resume, but it's a light day. We will continue to plan for the trail-a-thon by figuring out all of the trails (6-8 miles of them) and determine what the obstacles will be and we will be finishing up summer camp plans! Wednesday will be a day of lessons and prepping for the Veteran's Day Inauguration. Thursday will start with trail clearing and grass cutting. A little horse conditioning will go on with Shawn's help! Then we have a full schedule of lessons which culminates in our Veteran's Program Inauguration. |
