![]() by Patty On Friday Sept 23rd, we closed on the property and got the keys! A sigh of relief is heard by all! I'm not sure why I wanted it to close so badly, 'cause now I am pooped out! We worked on the property both Saturday and Sunday for about 5 hours each day. On Saturday, we picked up 6 bags of garbage from by the front gate. Gross! April, Oliver, and I also started piling up the wood and debris that is just strewn all over the front of the property. Bill McKee started to shred the front. Today, Bill cut down a tree, John did some grading so that we could get in and out of the building more easily, and I weed whacked and did some shredding across the creek in the future pasture for the horses. It is going to be a long slow process, but the Ranch is so beautiful. I love it! by Patty
So as I have been talking to different people and connections and asking for help, Cindy Stearns said that she would help out with organizing volunteer groups. "Wouldn't it be great if we could get everyone together to meet each other", she commented. Well of course it would. Everyone has been wanting to see the property. This would be the perfect opportunity. So it was was planned for Saturday the 17th of Sept. by Patty
It's been a while since I made an entry here. So the land saga continues. We have decided on "the land" and make an offer. After very little negotiations we sign a contract and the bank says we can do a fast closing. Haa! I say. we were supposed to close on or before the 14th and here it is the 19th and we still have not closed. The survey needed to be re-done and the appraiser needed the survey to finish the appraisal. Once that is complete, the bank needs to get all of there paperwork together. I know it will happen, but it is not happening according to my schedule. I started looking at land in early July. My poor realtor has never done so much hiking. We joked as I trompted ahead of him looking at each property... feeling each property. He was worried about me. I tromped ahead still. "Watch out for snakes," he would warn, stick in hand. I told him that I was not worried for myself. I was waking them up ... he was the one they would wake up to as I was long gone. He was not thrilled!

I was very nervous when I started inviting people to join my board Many of you will not believe itm, but I am very shy. I am also very passionate about Therapeutic Riding and the Healing Power of Horses! I started first with a friend. Catherine Bailey is someone that I worked easily with at R.O.C.K. |
