The horses have been down at the ranch for 2 nights now and all is going well.  They seem happy and calm and are getting used to the sights and sounds of FM 973.  The first day, the trucks were really making them nervous, especially if they were near the road and one passed.  Now they just contentedly graze as rush hour traffic rushes by them.

It stormed pretty bad last night.  They were smart and went down on the lower half of the pasture and found a wind break and some trees to get under.  I'm going to ask my friends Dana and Sam if they will construct a shelter constructed out of pipe that I had purchased for pipe fencing.  something simple and it will only have 2 sides.  With this, we should be able to move them around if we need to until we know where we want things to go!

So there is  a reason for everything, and everyday I realize that I MUST listen and be patient!  I fianally got across the creek and go figure, the round pen (where Rocky and Playboy were going to stay) had a tree fall on it.  I am so glad that they were not in there when that happened!  Dana cut the tree up and Taylor, Michael, Kim and I cleaned up the mess.  There will need to be a little bit of repair on it, but it is fixable!  Craziness!
