It has been such a busy week, I have not been able to sit down and collect my thoughts!
Since the burn ban was lifted, we have burned 5 piles of trees and brush, but have so much more to do. I will be out there trying to get rid of another pile of brush. We will get this land cleared!
Sharon has been over several times to get ready for the Estate sale. I hope everyone can make it! There are so many nice things to buy and all of the proceeds will go to feeding horses and putting beinds in the saddle! :)
I got to drive with John to Joyce's house in Hempstead to pick up the heavy stuff that she has donated to the ranch. Some of this we are keeping for the ranch that we had just said how it would be so helpful to have and will save us 1000's of dollars! There's an industrial sewing machine that we will be able to use to repair blankets, A roll of wire to put lights in the arena and the round pen plus aone tine plow so that we can dig the trench for the wire! There was also a solar powered electric fence charger that I was just saying that we needed since we are getting 2 more new horses in the next week or so and we need to be able to separate them from the rest of the herd to keep them and the others safe! Thank you John, for going with me and thank you Joyce for the HUGE donation!
We had some much needed rain this week, so now everything is green and growing fast! Grass cutting is happening just about everyday! That's a good thing though! Fortunately we will be having several big groups coming out in the next 2 weeks! We sure do need the help!
