I am so excited to announce Healing with Horses Ranch’s newest staff members!
Judy Moore, PT, HPCS, PATH Intl Registered Instructor is just an amazing person who has a special gift. I have seen very few people “get” this industry as much or as naturally as Judy does. She will be starting tomorrow as a part-time therapeutic riding instructor and policy writer and editor. But if you notice all of the initials after her name, she will also be providing hippotherapy (physical therapy using the horses movement to facilitate her treatment plans) as soon as Healing with Horses Ranch becomes a Physical Therapy Clinic! She brings passion and energy and fresh ideas! I am thrilled to have her as a partner and co-worker and you will all LOVE her!
Lauren Reynolds is coming on part-time to help with office work and to get me organized. Boy does she have a big job! Lauren has been volunteering with us since our very first volunteer training and has been someone that I can always depend on to feed horses when I was out of town or to help in classes when I needed someone in a crunch. Lauren will be responsible for billing, invoicing, newsletter writing, data entry, and organizing me for the short term. Lauren has her masters from A&M in Natural Resource Development and my imagination is going wild with the potential since we are going to establish a coastal hay field and the ranch is wild life management facility! So many possibilities!
Skylar Rountree is our intern from Texas State. She is majoring in Recreational Therapy and is developing our Veteran’s Program as well as is learning what it takes to manage all aspects of a riding program. She has been volunteering in classes, feeding horses, helping with student intake, and learning how to school the horses. What an asset she has been and she just makes each day that she is here, fun!
Larry Coode is also doing a project for his master level class in Organizational Management. Larry is retired from the Air Force recently and is taking those skills and combining them with his class requirements and is managing/organizing our ACTHA Trail-a-thon Fund Raiser on May 25th!
Please help me welcome these amazing people into our “family”. I promise you, you will love each one of them! I am truly honored to get to work with each one of them. This is going to be such a fun ride with all of their passions and ideas!
