by Patty The day started out a little bit muddy and a little wet, but oh so nice and cool! We had to work a bit harder before camp started to bring all of the horses to the east campus and then again tonight getting hay over the creek, but all in all it was a great day.
The day started with our campers feeding and grooming and tacking up their horses. Everyone had a great ride ending in a little wet fun. Why not.... we were already muddy! We made apple sauce and horse treats. Started making our horse shoe dream catchers and our camp t-shirts. We also had fun starting to train Oreo how to bow and I think we will get her trained!
It was fun to watch the team work and the fun that our campers had today! I can't wait until tomorrow. We finish our t-shirts and dream catchers, keep on training Oreo, have another riding lesson, see if the horses like our horse treats, learn how to clean tack and start learning horse body parts. Busy, busy, busy! Fun, fun, fun!
And as usual, our volunteers made the day and every one stayed for all 6 hours or more of camp! Thanks Garret, Asheigh, Karoline, and Hannah for being awesome
