Katie started her Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) training & student teaching process at a PATH Intl. facility in Kentucky. In 2020, after moving to Texas, Katie quickly found the Ranch to call her therapeutic riding home. She went on to earn her CTRI certification later that year. Her horse Tucker joined the Ranch herd in 2026.

Outside the Ranch, Katie has a Bachelor’s degree in parks & recreation administration, and additionally holds a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification. As a recreational therapist for the City of Austin, Katie runs recreational programs for adults with disabilities.
