
Lisa Garza, MA, LPC-A
Lisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) with a background in trauma-sensitive yoga & a lifelong love for horses. She joined the herd in 2019 as a volunteer, where she became attuned to the extraordinary sensitivity of horses. She fosters a nonjudgmental, empowering space for clients to explore their inner experiences in relation to the outer world. Through interactions with horses, Lisa helps clients cultivate self-awareness & build healthier relationships. She places a strong emphasis on authenticity, believing that being true to oneself is crucial for overall well-being.
In 2025, Lisa became a PATH Intl. Certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health & Learning (ESMHL) in addition to naturally stepping into the role of Clinical Coordinator, in which she handles additional program development, communications, and community engagement for our Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) program.
Lisa is an Austin native who enjoys reading historical fiction & fantasy novels, gardening, and all things floral. She loves camping and traveling with her husband & their two dogs, especially if it means getting out of Texas during the hot summer months!
