Megan Oberdoerster
Megan first joined the herd in 2019 as a volunteer, then became a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) in 2025. She first fell in love with horses on a family vacation to the Outer Banks when she was young. She loved watching the majestic wild horses on the beach wandering up to their rental house and even sticking their nose right into her car window. The rest is history.
She began taking riding lessons and joined IEA and IHSA teams. This gave her the opportunity to work with a wide range of horses. After moving to Texas, she continued riding and began volunteering at Healing With Horses Therapeutic Riding Center. In 2021, Megan competed in the Bluebonnet Training Challenge and was partnered with Maybelle (pictured). They came in fourth place and Maybelle was adopted by a youth rider at the barn they trained! Megan is constantly amazed at the healing power of horses and is honored to help others experience the joy they bring.
Outside of the Ranch, Megan loves outdoor adventures, gardening, and spending time with her human & pet family members.
