Equine-Assisted Learning Workshops
At Healing with Horses Ranch, we offer dynamic Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) workshops designed to strengthen teams, develop leadership, and build meaningful communication skills through guided interaction with our horses.
Our EAL workshops are ideal for: corporate teams, non-profit staff, educators & school groups, healthcare providers, community organizations, and more.

Intensive CTRI Workshop
Saturday, August 30th to Monday, September 1st (Labor Day), 2025
9am-5pm each day
If you have been interested in becoming a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI), this workshop is for you. Join us for a three-day intensive training led by Patty D’Andrea, Advanced-Level CTRI, & Katie Mikulcik, CTRI. This hands-on workshop will equip aspiring instructors with the skills to teach riding & horsemanship skills to individuals with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges. Participants will learn how to do rider assessments, lesson planning, adaptive teaching strategies, and safe mounting & dismounting techniques. The training also includes a review of PATH Intl. application requirements & video analysis. Start your journey toward becoming a CTRI with us!
Intensive ESMHL Workshop
Thursday, September 25th to Sunday, September 28th, 2025
9am-5pm each day
Healing with Horses Ranch is hosting an PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health & Learning (ESMHL) workshop & skills test. ESMHLs serve as the equine expert in sessions led by licensed mental health professionals, ensuring the equines’ well-being while supporting therapeutic & educational goals. They bring strong horsemanship skills, a working knowledge of mental health & education, and a clear understanding of how equine behavior impacts human responses. The ESMHL is responsible for monitoring the equine’s safety & behavior, stopping activities if needed, and maintaining a safe, effective environment for all involved.

Interested in Becoming a PATH Certified Instructor?
Healing with Horses Ranch offers an instructor-in-training program to individuals looking to become a PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI). Under supervision by founder & advanced CTRI, Patty D’Andrea, our trainees receive mentorship, hands-on learning, and coaching through the certification process.
